Register for an eID

All K-State employees, future and current students, and those needing access to university computing systems are required to have an eID. Your eID is your K-State user name and the first part of your email address (your_eID@k-state.edu). Your eID is used to access university software and labs, enroll in classes, accept financial aid, sign in to K-State e-mail, view online paychecks, and much more. You must be 13 or older to register.

Your Social Security Number or Wildcat ID (WID) allows us to verify your identity and grant you access to K-State technology resources. Until you have verified this information, access to K-State technology resources will be limited. You can verify this information later by going to https://eid.k-state.edu.

Employees of K-State must enter their Social Security number.

Students of K-State must enter their Wildcat ID (WID).

To gain access to necessary K-State technology resources, students are required to enter their WID (Wildcat ID), which is printed on their admissions letter.

Employees should enter their SSN (Social Security Number), but can also enter their WID, if available.
